RIP Dave Wilson and Marvin Hoover
It is with a heavy heart that I have to report the passing of two long time and very active members of our club, Dave Wilson and Marvin Hoover. I had the opportunity to get to know both of these guys pretty well since joining the club about six years ago. Both were very friendly, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. They will both be missed dearly and the meets will never be quite the same without them. My sincere condolences go out to their families. It is always a sad time when we lose members but it is also a reminder to enjoy the company of those you care for while you can.

Spring Lake Mayfield Meet Report: Despite less than ideal weather we had a decent turn out at one of our favorite meet locations. Even though there was no raffle, there were several motors for sale and many members acquired some new projects. Many members cruised up to the far end of the lake for lunch. At the meeting we discussed the possibility of having at least one meet a year in Oregon in an effort to revive the seemingly inactive Webfooter chapter. More details on this will be coming. All and all it was a great meet and we can't wait to return in September.

OUR NEXT MEET WILL BE: On the 24th, 25th, and 26th of June at Baker Lake. In my opinion one of the more beautiful lakes we meet at, despite the limited amenities (no cabins, electricity, restaurants, etc) It provides a good opportunity to get away as it is in the middle of the woods near the base of Mt Baker. When we're lucky enough to have clear skies, the view of the mountain is simply awesome. Be sure to bring your boat and check the newsletter for driving instructions. Hope to see you there!
